Orthogonale Vektoren
Gegeben sind die nachstehend angeführten Vektoren:
\(\begin{array}{l} \overrightarrow a = \left( {\begin{array}{*{20}{c}} 2\\ 3 \end{array}} \right)\\ \overrightarrow b = \left( {\begin{array}{*{20}{c}} x\\ 0 \end{array}} \right)\\ \overrightarrow c = \left( {\begin{array}{*{20}{c}} 1\\ { - 2} \end{array}} \right)\\ \overrightarrow d = \overrightarrow a - \overrightarrow b \end{array}\)
Aufgabenstellung:
Berechnen Sie \(x \in {\Bbb R}\) so, dass die Vektoren \(\overrightarrow c\) und \(\overrightarrow d\) aufeinander normal stehen!
Lösungsweg
Zuerst berechnen wir den Vektor d:
\(\overrightarrow d = \overrightarrow a - \overrightarrow b = \left( {\begin{array}{*{20}{c}} 2\\ 3 \end{array}} \right) - \left( {\begin{array}{*{20}{c}} x\\ 0 \end{array}} \right) = \left( {\begin{array}{*{20}{c}} {2 - x}\\ {3 - 0} \end{array}} \right) = \left( {\begin{array}{*{20}{c}} {2 - x}\\ 3 \end{array}} \right)\)
Danach wenden wir das Orthogonalitätskriterium an:
\(\eqalign{ & \overrightarrow a \bot \overrightarrow b \Leftrightarrow \overrightarrow a \cdot \overrightarrow b = 0 \cr & {a_x}{b_x} + {a_y}{b_y} = 0; \cr}\)
\(\begin{array}{l} \overrightarrow d \cdot \overrightarrow c = 0 = \left( {\begin{array}{*{20}{c}} {2 - x}\\ 3 \end{array}} \right) \cdot \left( {\begin{array}{*{20}{c}} 1\\ { - 2} \end{array}} \right)\\ \left( {2 - x} \right) \cdot \left( 1 \right) + \left( 3 \right) \cdot \left( { - 2} \right) = 0\\ 2 - x - 6 = 0\\ - 4 - x = 0\\ x = - 4 \end{array}\)
Ergebnis
Die richtige Lösung lautet:
x=-4
